Borrowing Friends 'Til the End

My friends Tiffany and Janie came over for a crafting day on Saturday (and into Sunday morning!). We stayed up waaay too late, but we have lots of fun. Anyway, I have so many flower sets that I have resisted getting the Friends 'Til the End set. So, I borrowed it from Tiffany to make a couple of cards with. I was inspired by Dawn McVey's cards in this post (the purple card 4th down from the top). I've been playing with the My Mind's Eye papers, so I used that for the polka-dot background. Enjoy!

Scattered Showers Happiness

I just love this umbrella set. The images are so cute, and the sayings are also. Here is a card that I made for a friend that just found out she is pregnant. The sentiment was perfect for the occasion! I hope you enjoy it.

Branch Out for Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7

I love these color challenges! Lately I've been trying to combine them with using a product or stamp set that I have been meaning to use and/or making a project for someone that I have been meaning to send a greeting to. I had been wanting to make a spring time card with the Branch Out set and some pink or raspberry flowers.  So, these colors were perfect for that idea! I hope you like it. In the photo the Artichoke looks like a brown, but I promise that it's really Artichoke!

KWerner Color Inspiration #53

Kristina offered up another challenging set of colors with her 53rd inspiration! I decided they might make a good masculine card. I used a retired tool set from Stampin' Up. It was the first time it saw ink! I wanted to make two thank you cards, one for my parents and one for my friend's father who have both worked on my house this month.

May 2009 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I was able to steal a few moments today to create a card for the May 2009 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.  The theme for this month is yellow.  I used the anniversary set Everyday Classics.  I have had this Heidi Swapp cherry bling for awhile, and kept meaning to use it.  I got the idea to use it to top the cupcake in this set.  I really like how it turned out!  I might have to try it with the red cherries in the bling set also.  I plan to send this to one of my friends whose birthday is next week.  I hope you enjoy it!

Mother's Day Gift & Mini Card

I decided to play with some of my new stamps sets, and make a set of cards as a gift to my Mom for Mother's Day. I also used a template called All Boxed Up. I really liked this color combo. It reminds me a little bit of all of the beautiful color combos that Betsy Veldman uses on her cards. Anyway, I hope my Mother likes them, and that you enjoy them! I was really pleased with how they turned out.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #5

I haven't posted for awhile in blogland.  I was out of town last weekend to visit my cousin in Texas.  It's time for another Color Challenge post for Raspberry Suite at Dawn McVey's blog.  I have really been enjoying using the Raspberry Fiz color from Papertrey Ink.  I don't have Hibiscus Burst, but I think it will be my next color purchase from them.  So, I used Stampin' Up!'s Regal Rose color.  This is also a congratulations for my cousin, who is just completing her residency.  I got the idea for the feather in the bird from Melissa Phillip's post at the Papertrey Gallery.  Let me know what you think!
