KW Challenge #43 -- Bold Colors!
March 01, 2009
Another color challenge was posted over at Kristina Werner's blog. My first thought was that these were some powerful bold colors! How to use them???
Then, I looked at the patterns in the photo, and noticed the stripes, circles and argyle which inspired me. So, here is what I came up with. I made the first one at my friend Tiffany's house this morning, and the other 3 when I got home this afternoon. I had a hard time getting going at Tiff's, but once I started working with this combo I kept getting more ideas! I just needed some of my supplies at home to finish them. This first one gave me a chance to use the new SU set Man's Best Friend. I think the doggy on the left looks a lot like my Monty (see the first blog post for yourself!).
Stamps: Man's Best Friend
Ink: Classic Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa, Stampin' Write Markers Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Brocade Blue

I got the inspiration for this simple card from one of my many idea books...yes, I'm an idea book junkie! Anyway, it's very simple but I really like how it turned out.

When I saw the argyle, I thought of this stamp set. A few markers later, and I had myself some argyle! I think I may have my Father's Day card already done for the year. ;-)

Well, the ground-hog was right, at least for those of us in northern Illinois. It is frigid today. The wind chills must be pretty low. I did take Monty for a short trip to the off-leash park to drain some of his energy. Anyway, the cold made me want to use this new set I just received from Papertrey Ink called Warm Happiness. I'm liking this set, which means you'll see more of it soon. ;-)
Stamps: So Many Sayings, PTI Warm Happiness
Ink: Classic Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Old Olive

That's all for tonight! Have a great week.
