Fancy Friday - Christmas-y Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This month we are featuring anything Christmas-y! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away in the US, and Christmas is right around the corner? You'll love what you see tonight on our fancy blog hop. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Jenn's Blog. Did you see her great project?! I love her style.

So, today I have a set of Christmas tags. I used the Farmhouse Christmas Photopolymer Bundle of stamps and dies to create these. I stamped the main images in Black Memento Ink, and colored them with our Stampin' Blends markers. We have so many wonderful colors now, including the ones in the holiday catalog.

Christmas Prep - Round 1

Hello and welcome! I'm back today to share some holiday projects with you. I decided this year to start my prep early. My plan is to use a mix of holiday sets from the main catalog and newer sets from the holiday catalog to create cards, tags and other holiday items for this season. I usually make about 80 of one style of card, but after the designing is done it's less fun to finish them up assembly line style. So, this year, I'm going to make 9-10 different designs and make about 10 cards of each one! I always include a letter in them as well, so they will all be the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" size to hold the letter.

More Color Inspiration

Hello everyone! I'm back with another fall themed project, just in time as we just had some early snow this week! I'm not quite ready for that, are you?

I decided to make another card with the beautiful color combo from the last Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I started by painting a watercolor panel with some watered down Pacific Point ink, and then splattering the piece with some darker mix of the same color. Next, I cut a stitched circle from one of the Wood Textures papers and then stamped the greeting on Whisper White, cutting it into another stitched circle.

Fancy Friday - True Gentlemen Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop. I'm here with my fancy friends (all current or former members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team). This challenge is inspired by the True Gentleman Suite on page 44-45 in the Occasions Catalog. We could use the suite of products, the color combo or just be inspired by the style while focusing on masculine projects. I missed the official hop, but you can catch up with the rest of the team here. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. You might have just arrived from Shannon's blog. Did you see her colorful project?! I love her style.

This a box (I think) that I chose to case. It's simple, but sweet.

And here is my card. I cased what is a box I think from page 54 of the catalog. It had a little strip of ribbon, a piece of stamped paper and a stamped background. Plus, I loved the addition of baker's twine and sequins, two of my favorite embellishments!

I'm featuring the Tutti Frutti Designer Series Papers in my cards. I also copied my favorite card from the Sale-a-bration brochure. It featured the Party Panda Stamp Set and these papers, along with this card layout. These cards also use the Fruit Basket Photopolymer Bundle of stamps and coordinating punches.

This first card has a citrus theme, and I used the stamp and citrus slice punch to fill the bowl with punched images. One of my favorite embellishments from this catalog is the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins, featured on all three cards.

For my second card, I stamped several strawberries in the basket, but also punched two to layer on top. I love the sentiments cut up in this way. It matches the fun feel of the patterned papers.

My last card features this fun berry patterned paper. I stamped the bowl, but cut berries and leaves from the patterned paper itself to fill the bowl. I really love these papers. There are some busier patterns, which make a good focal point, and several geometric patterns which make the perfect accent. And, there are lots of fruit images to cut out and feature as well.
