TGIFC122 - Technique Challenge

Hello and welcome back! It's time for another TGIF Challenge, and this week is a technique challenge to watercolor our main image.

TGIFC122

I love watercolor! If you've ever been around my blog, you probably already know that. I also decided to pull out the This Little Piggy Stamp Set for another card. They are so cute that it's easy to make a cute card with this set. I cut a piece of watercolor paper, and then stamped the piggy image in Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I did the same thing with the cloud stamp in three places. I colored the sky with Pool Party Ink and an Aqua painter. The piggy is Powder Pink, with some accents of Real Red ink. The flower is Real Red also. I saturated the area around the greeting with more Soft Sky ink. The grass is Pear Pizzazz, and the little piggy feet are Basic Grey. I mounted the watercolor piece to one of the darker wood patterns from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. Love that stuff!

I wrapped some of the Powder Pink 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, and tied it into a knot. I also tied some of the Pool Party Solid Baker's Twine around the knot, and into a bow. I adhered the watercolor piece just over the top edge of the ribbon. A few of the new Iridescent Sequin Assortment highlight the clouds, and are the finishing touch.
