Hello and welcome back! It's time for the next Artisan Design Team blog post, and we're focusing on the Moroccan Nights stamp set this month. You're in for a treat because we have so much talent and so many different styles represented by these 20 women from around the globe. And on top of their talent, they are fun and fabulous as well. Please keep hopping through all 20 so you don't miss a thing! Be sure to use something like Google Translate for those blogs not in your native language. Also, you can find all of our projects for the year in one easy place, on our Pinterest board. You might have just arrived from Krista Frattin, and I know you loved her stunning project as much as I did.
Here are the two cards I created for this month's Stampin' Up! Facebook projects. I found this beautiful picture on Instagram of a white building with emerald green tiles and a deep blue sky. That inspired my color combo for these projects.
Here's a closer look at the water-coloring. I wanted it to look a little imperfect and streaky. I love the linen thread wrapped a few times too. It's a different way to use the thread as an embellishment, and adds some nice texture.
On to card #2. I heat embossed the medallion a couple of times on a larger panel of Shimmery White Cardstock. This time I sponged Emerald Envy ink around the medallion, and left the centers lighter than the edges for an ombre effect. I used the blue diamond patterned paper, some Dapper Denim cardstock and the Dapper Denim Rouched Ribbon. I love that ribbon! The greeting is from the Thoughtful Banners bundle again. There are so many useful sayings in that stamp set, and I love the little banner punched shapes. You need it in your life!
Here's the closeup view.
Well, that is all for me today, but you'll want to click on the button below to get to Michelle, your next stop on the hop. Thanks for stopping by, and for leaving comments when you can. They are always appreciated!
