Stamp, Ink, Paper Guest Designer Week 2

Hello, and welcome back! It's Tuesday, and I'm here to share another design for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #38 as a Guest Designer! This week is a lovely color challenge to get us ready for Spring. Even though we have had a pretty mild winter here in Chicagoland, I'm still ready for Spring to officially arrive.

SIP 38 Color Challenge

I pulled out the Rose Wonder Photopolymer Bundle which has been waiting for some attention! I also used the Timeless Textures Stamp Set to add some texture to the Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Cardstocks before they were die cut into the flower and leaf shapes. They were adhered to some Shimmer Cardstock that I sponged lightly with the same colors of ink. After adhering the diecuts to the sponged cardstock, I trimmed around the rose and the leaves.  The card base is Sahara Sand. The top piece is Whisper White Thick Cardstock, and the stripes were stamped in Sahara Sand using the Brushstrokes Stamp Set. I went over the stripes with a sponge to lighten them up a little before stamping it. I also cut the card front into a point, after adhering the striped piece to the card, so you could see the inside of the card.

I adhered the leaves first, along the angle I had cut. Then, I added some gold thread, and adhered the rose with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added some gold sequins, and splattered some Gold Wink of Stella over the whole card front.

So, now that the inside of the card is visible, I adhered a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to the same angle. Then, I stamped my greeting in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in gold. To complete the inside I drew lines using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker. The rose stamp set includes a greeting that is perfect for the rest of the inside of the card, so I'll go back and add it soon!

Well, that is all for today. Be sure to check out the rest of the beautiful projects at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge Site, and join us there to celebrate Spring! Thanks for stopping by.
