Hello, and welcome back! I'm back today with a new color challenge from the Can You Case It site. Today we are featuring shades of grown and green with additional neutrals.
I couldn't help but create an outdoor scene with this color scheme. I did add in just a tiny bit of blue with Soft Sky ink for the sky, and So Saffron for part of the larger tree. The other colors I used are Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I also mixed the Happy Scenes Photopolymer Stamp Set with the Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. The small leaves stamp from Sheltering Tree covers the small tree from Happy Scenes really nicely. The greeting is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.
I cut the grass and large tree layer out, and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals to the main panel. That was adhered to Old Olive cardstock, and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front after I added several wraps of linen thread. There aren't a lot of embellishments to this card, but I like how it turned out. I think this fits the tricky "guy card" category too, which is always a pus!
Well, that is all for today. I hope you'll join us at Can You Case It this week and share your own colorful creation! Thanks for stopping by.
