OSAT Blog Hop - Back to School in August

Hello and welcome back! Today several of us from the One Stamp At a Time Facebook group are joining together to share some back to school themed projects. So what is a single gal with no children supposed to do for a back to school theme? Well I'm glad you asked. I made a card and a school year calendar for a teach friend of mine. Hopefully when she sees a new saying every month, she will smile!

I used Watermelon Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise and Perfect Plum. I heat embossed the greetings in black embossing powder onto the backside of watercolor paper, and then watercolored the designs. The card has some patterned paper and washi tape to complete it.

Here are the calendar pages. I made the calendars in Microsoft Project, printed and trimmed them out. Both the calendars and the watercolor sayings are on 3.5" wide by 3" high pieces of cardstock and watercolor paper. The background cardstock piece is 3.75" wide by 6.25" high.

And, here are all the calendars! I used the some polka dot and striped black and white washi tape to add just a little decoration to the calendars.

I even included a greeting for her birthday month!

Well, that is all for today. Please click the next button below to get to Kim's blog, or you can follow along on the list below to make your way through the Hop. Thanks for stopping by!
