Hello, and welcome back! Today I'm sharing two cards that were inspired by sketch #174 from Freshly Made Sketches.
Here is my first card. For the stars, I started with an ink smooshing technique. I smashed Bermuda Bay ink, Pistachio Pudding ink and Smoky Slate ink pads onto my largest clear stamping block and spritzed it water. Next, I put a quarter sheet of Shimmer White cardstock onto the wet ink, smooshed it around and then dried it with my heat embossing tool. Next I die cut the large star, and punched out the three smaller stars. The large star is backed with Silver Foil Cardstock, and the three small stars have gray sequins from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit.
The card base is Pistachio Pudding, and I added a strip of Silver Foil Cardstock with the leftover Bermuda Bay star diecut strip. The greeting is from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit as well, stamped in Bermuda Bay. I adhered some Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine, and then the stars to finish the card.
Next is my second card for today. I used the same ink smooshing technique, but this time with Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Gold Encore Metallic ink. I cut strips, and stamped the greeting using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and a Stampin' Write Basic Black Marker. The card base is Shimmer White Cardstock.
To finish off the card, I diecut a Shimmer White star, a watercolor star, and a Gold Glimmer Cardstock star. I also diecut a pinked circle from Gold Foil Cardstock, which I layered with a circle cut from the center of the watercolor star. I also added Stampin' Dimensionals to the biggest star and the pinked circle layers.
Well, that is all for today. Come back tomorrow for another card using leftovers from my Paper Pumpkin kit. Thanks so much for stopping by!
