Hello and welcome back! Today I have another project to share using the Simply Pressed Clay. This medium is a lot of fun to work with, and it's really not too fussy or messy either.
For this project, I used the smallest heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits Die, and pressed it over a layer of clay rolled out to about 1/8" thick. Then, I pulled the excess clay away from around the outer edge of the die. Next, I inked my stamp in Versamark, and then stamped the word "love" from the Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set into the clay heart. I let it air dry for about an hour or two, and then colored in the word "love" with a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. I love how this turned out! The edges are a little rough, but if that bothers you could always sand them down lightly.
The card base is Crumb Cake. The next layer is a light chevron print from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack, which I painted over with a light layer of white acrylic paint. Next, I stamped the small hearts in Sahara Sand, and stamped the Gold Encore ink with one of the Gorgeous Grunge stamps. The circles are watercolor paper that I inked with Real Red, Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe. I stitched over them with some red metallic thread. The final touches were some Calypso Coral buttons and the clay heart. I totally copied this layout from my friend Tiffany's card, but I don't think she has ever posted it to her blog. If she does, I'll come back here and share the specific link.
Well, that is all for today. Thanks for stopping by, and please join me later this week for some more projects featuring the Simply Pressed Clay! After the last project, I'll have a tip sheet for you to download and keep on hand.
