Hello and welcome back! It's time for another Try It series, this time using the Simply Pressed Clay. I had good intentions of featuring this in December, but I just ran out of time as often happens in December!
I'm starting off by featuring a simple shape made out of the White Simply Pressed Clay. I added just a little bit of Real Red Ink, and mixed it in. Then, I rolled it out, pressed the smallest heart in the Hearts Collection Framelits Die into the clay and then pulled the excess away from around the die. I let the clay dry for about 30 minutes, and then stamped the small outline heart from the Countless Sayings 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set three times in Real Red ink.
The card base is made from Smoky Slate Cardstock. The patterned papers are from the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper Stack, and I finished the card with a greeting from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and some Whisper White Baker's Twine.
So, there are the first three techniques to try with the Simply Pressed Clay:
- Add ink to the clay and mix together to color the clay.
- Roll out the clay, and use framelits dies to trim the clay.
- Stamp designs on the clay after it dries.
I'll have more samples to share later this week using the clay. I hope you'll join me back here later this week! Thanks for stopping by.
