Hello and welcome back! Today I wanted to share the projects that I made with the My Paper Pumpkin November 2013 kit. Yes I know...I received this kit a year ago and am just now getting around to using it! I had a lot of fun with this kit though. It was originally designed to make 4 cards, but I stretched it to 6 cards and 4 tags. And, I still have almost a whole strand of the star garland left to make more tags or cards with.
Here is the card the kit was designed to make. I love the printed stripe on the cards and the start garland. I thought this was navy blue, but it's actually shades of gray and silver with the red.
The star in the Noel and the bottom greeting are the stamps that came with the set along with a Real Red Stampin' Spot inkpad.
Here is my first alternate card. To stretch my kit, I used 1 piece of Real Red 12x12 cardstock and 2 pieces of Very Vanilla 12x12 cardstock to complete the rest of the projects. Here I used the Real Red to make the card bases from. I also cut out the Noel image from the banner, and mounted it on a piece of the stripe card with the star garland dangling from it.
The pieces of star garland are attached to the back of the squares, and the bottom stars are attached to the card front with mini glue dots.
I added another cardstock panel inside with a greeting and space to write on a light surface.
I think this might be my favorite card. The card base is Very Vanilla, with half of a striped card covering the front, then a layer of Real Red and a piece of Very Vanilla for the tree.
The star garland was wrapped around the tree with part of the greeting at the bottom.
Last but not least is the tag design. I used one of the new tag topper punches and Real Red ribbon from the Holiday Catalog. With a little more plain color cardstock, I plan to make more tags with the rest of the star garland that I have left.
Well, that is is it for today. I'll have more tags to share this week, and what I've done with the November 2014 My Paper Pumpkin Kit soon. Thanks for stopping by!
