Hello, and welcome back! I'm sitting here watching my favorite baseball team the Royals play in Game 7 of the World Series. We haven't won since 1985, so I'm so hoping that we win. In the meantime, I wanted to share what I did with the September My Paper Pumpkin Kit. It came with the supplies to make some super cute Halloween treat holders, including 6 treat bags that were already decorated. I needed to make 14 treats, so I also used a package of 8 Mini Muslin Bags. I decorated these bags using the Tangelo Twist Ink, a sponge dauber and the Dots and Stripes Decorative Masks. Aren't they cute?
Here is everything else that came in the kit: precut labels to stamp on, precut patterned labels to layer, thread and sequins, a stamp set, an ink pad, Halloween stickers and mini colored clothespins. I had to also add a pack of clothespins and two additional circle punched labels from a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock to make 14 treats total.
Here they are all assembled and looking fun. I was able to fit 3 mini candy bars inside each bag.
I stamped the labels, layered them, added a sticker and a piece of the orange sequin trim, and clipped it to each bag.
Here is one of the bags that came with the kit. The tied black thread keeps these bags closed.
Here is the striped muslin bag. Love how the natural clothespins look with these treat bags too.
One of the best parts of these kits is what's left after all the treat bags are done! I still have the stamp set and ink to use, there are lots of stickers left and some sequins and thread as well. I can certainly use these to make some cute Halloween cards or more treat containers next year.
Well, that is all for today. If you'd like to subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin and receive monthly kits like this in the mail, you can click on the links below. Also, there is a Pinterest board for this kit here, and for all of My Paper Pumpkin here. I'll have some more projects to share later in the week. Thanks for stopping by!
