Hello there, and welcome back! Today I'm guest designing over at the Can You Case It #40 challenge, using the colors of Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. These are the perfect colors for autumn cards, and I have some great sets from the Holiday catalog that needed to be inked up. So, today's cards were born!
Here is my first card to share. This one uses the For All Things Clear-Mount Stamp Set, and watercoloring on the background.
*Tip: after I stamped the leaf image, I colored over it with the small Aqua Painter to blend the lines. I like to do this when stamping on watercolor paper to fill in any gaps from stamping on the textured paper.
I used some ribbon, trim, Linen Thread and one of the Autumn Wooden Elements in addition to the greeting to finish off this card.
Once I got started with these colors, I just couldn't stop! So, I made a Halloween card with the same main colors. I used the Fall Fest Photopolymer Stamp Set for the main images, and also used the Good Greetings stamp set to add several Halloween phrases to the background.
I added some details to complete the card. I created the grass with the Fringe Scissors, sponged the sun and bottom edge of the grass, popped up the middle pumpkin on Stampin' Dimensionals and added Crystal Effects to the pumpkin faces. Some Old Olive Baker's Twine is the final touch.
Well, that is all for today! Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to check out the Can You Case It website for this and other great challenges!
