New Catalog Sneak Peek: Blendabilities Part 2

Hello there! I have another Sneak Peek to share using the  new Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up! These will be available for purchase in our new 2014-2015 Catalog coming out June 2nd. The In This Together Stamp Set is new too. I used the Neutrals, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities alcohol markers to color the image. These are really fun to use! They have a brush tip at one end, and a fine tip at the other. I used the fine tips quite a bit for this project because this girl is very skinny! I'd like to redraw myself to be this thin, hahaha. Anyway, back to the card! I used some of the new In Colors including Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to mat the colored image and Hello Honey 3/8” Satin Stitched Ribbon along with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. The patterned paper is from the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

Here is a close-up. Another great thing you can use the Blendabilities for is to color our Rhinestones and Pearls! I love being able to color these to match our inks and cardstocks.

So, that is all for today. I have another couple of samples with the Blendabililtes and other new items to share later this week. I hope you'll join me then. Thanks for stopping by!

New Catalog Sneak Peek: Blendabilities Part 1

Hello, and welcome back! I have another sneak peek to share with you today, using our new alcohol markers called Blendabilities. The stamp is a new one called Blended Bloom, and it will be in the upcoming 2014-2015 Catalog.

BirthdayBlendedBloom_1

I used the Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and the Blush from the Skin Tone Assortment. I can't wait to try this again either with just the Cherry Cobbler markers or also using the Calypso Coral set for the lighter tone. The colors are easier to blend when they aren't so very different as these. But, I still like how this turned out. I also colored the Vintage Faceted Button with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. I finished the card with Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon, a new greeting stamp from the Something to Say stamp set, a pattern from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack and some Sahara Sand Cardstock.

Well that's all for today. I'll have some more new things to share this week. Thanks for stopping by!

New Catalog Sneak Peek: Work of Art

Hello, and welcome back! I finally had a chance to play around with a set from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog that will be available for purchase on June 2nd. This was the set that we received at the New Catalog Premiere event at the end of April! I love this set, and was really happy to have received it for free.

The set is called Work of Art, and I thought it would be fun to make the card front look like a piece of art. I wanted the greeting to be more subtle so the background wouldn't be too overshadowed. I used Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding inks, Memento Black for the greeting and Smoky Slate for the card base and greeting frame.

Here's a closer look at the first version. I added a Mini Silver Brad to complete the greeting, which was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

WorkOfArt_2

I made a second version with Basic Black as my card base. Also, this time I stamped the greeting onto Vellum Cardstock, and attached that with two Mini Silver Brads.

WorkOfArt_3

I think I like this version better, with the greeting on Vellum. Which one do you like better? Isn't this a terrific set? I have lots of ideas for this one.

Well, that is all for today. I have more cards queued up to share her this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, including mine! I made my Mom a mini-album with photos of our family from 2013. I love how it turned out. I used the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit from Stampin' Up! I used almost all of the pieces, with only a couple buttons, doilies and twine left over. I also used the Simply Serif Mini Alphabet Stamp Set and the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set to make several of the greetings.

There are two envelopes included in the album. The kraft with white print envelope holds the Mother's Day card. The white envelope holds a mini-mini album with pictures of flowers and greenery from around my parents' house. The pictures are 3.5x6, and are mounted on pieces of Whisper White Cardstock cut to 3.75x6.75. Those pages were scored at 1.5" from the left, bound together, covered with Designer Series Paper and tied with the Summer Starfruit Baker's Twine from Sale-a-Bration. Here are what those pages looked like before I bound them together. I kept it really simple so the focus was on the photos.

And, here is the finished album!

That's all for today. I'll have cards to share this week with Sneak Peek products from the new catalog. Thanks for stopping by!

Patchwork Card

Hi there! Just a quick card to share with you today. I had some scraps of the Kaleidoscop Designer Series Paper on my table, so I made this patchwork background from them. I love how it turned out!

HelloKaleidoscope1

For the greeting, I used the Sans & Stripes Photopolymer Stamp Set, with some baker's twine and some sequins to finish it off.

HelloKaleidoscope2

Ok, that's all for today. Told you it would be a quick share! I'm working on a mini album for Mother's Day and some cards with the new Blendabilties markers that I'll be sharing here soon. Thanks for stopping by.

It's NSD - National Scrapbook Day!

Hello there, and welcome back! I have two quick scrapbook pages to share today. I have actually been working this whole weekend, and didn't get to participate as much in NSD as I would have liked to. But, I did start with a great two-page template from the A Split Second download for My Digital Studio. I took some pictures today, and just dragged and dropped them into the templates.

INSD Scrapbook Page-001

Normally I make traditional scrapbook pages (with paper supplies), but there are some really cute templates and other digital supplies from My Digital Studio that I wanted to play around more with.

INSD Scrapbook Page-002

Well, that is all for today. I'll have a card or two to share tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!
