Scrap It - Love It Page

Hello and welcome back! For a change of pace today, I thought I would share a 12x12 scrapbook page that I completed. I've been spending some time editing my photos lately so I can get back to my memory keeping. I had a few photos of a meal I cooked recently, and I wanted to capture that piece of my everyday life on a layout. I made a grid style layout. I don't know if it's the mathematician in me or the fact that I used to be a yearbook editor, but I love to make these types of blocked or grid style layouts. It just comes more naturally to me. I used a piece of So Saffron Core'dinations Cardstock for the bottom layer, and trimmed a piece of smoky slate polka-dot patterned paper from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper that I stitched to the background.

I printed my pictures at 3x4 (two up on a 4x6 piece of photo paper), and rounded the corners. Then, I created two journal cards for myself using some digital stamps from MDS and my e-cutter. The digital stamp set is the Moments Ago Stamp Brush Set. Here I placed the stamp "love it" into a square, and cut the words out to use the whole negative shape as an embellishment. I added the arrow from the Essentials Hardware Clips, and the gray striped washi tape from Epic Day This And That Designer Washi Tape.

Here is the journal card. I die cut the "perfect" from the same MDS stamp brush set using my e-cutter from Real Red Cardstock. I adhered it to a 3x4 Smoky Slate piece with rounded corners. More washi tape, and lines drawn with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker for my journaling.

For one more accent, I added a piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, and a So Saffron button.

Well, that's all for today. I'll have some more cards to share for some additional challenges this week. I'm also planning to shoot a video showing how I created these two e-cutter elements that I'll be sharing soon. Thanks for stopping by!
