Freshly Made Sketches 123 - Part 2

Hello! I know...two cards in one day. What's up with that? Well, sometimes when inspiration strikes, I just go with it. Sometimes I have so many ideas that I literally don't have time to try them all out. It's a good problem to have though. So, onto the card. I used the same colors for this card: Melon Mambo, Strawberry Slush, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Summer Starfruit, Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana. To get this effect, I stamped with the circle stamp from the Geometrical Stamp Set, and without reinking I kept stamping moving it in circles around the original image as I stamped. Then, I colored in the center of the stamp using the matching colored marker and the fine tip end. The greeting is also from Geometrical, is stamped in Basic Grey Ink onto Vellum Cardstock and wrapped around the stamped panel. This card base is Smoky Slate Cardstock, and is 3 7/8" wide x 5 1/2" high.

Here is the Freshly Made Sketches #123 that inspired my card.

Here's a close-up of the card. I used the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the card front, and the white panel is popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card with baker's twine and a bow. I loved working with these colors. I think it's because I am sooooo ready for Spring! It's has been super cold and snowy here in Chicago-land. I can't wait for Spring. I heard the birds chirping today, which sounded a little odd since we still have so much snow on the ground. Maybe the birds are hopeful too!

Well, that is all for today. I'll have a scrapbook page and some more posts for challenges to post this week. Thanks for stopping by!
