Hearts Collection 3

Hello, and welcome back! Today I have a card to share that uses the leftover vellum heart from yesterday's project! I added some gold, orange and pink sequins between layers of the Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum heart and another heart cut from Vellum Cardstock, and then stitched them together with my sewing machine. I made the card from Strawberry Slush Cardstock, and cut a heart die shape from it's front. Then, I spritzed it with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. The vellum sequin heart is mounted to the inside of the card so that it peeks through the heart opening in the card.

For the greeting, I used the retired Hand Penned Holidays stamp set with Jet Black Stazon ink on a piece of the Medium Window Sheets, and adhered it to the inside of the card. You could get the same effect by printing this greeting onto Vellum Cardstock. To finish it, I tied some gold embroidery floss around the card, and included a small piece of Strawberry Slush ribbon to complete the look.

Well, that is all for today. I have two more heart cards to share in this series, so stop by again soon!

Hearts Collection 2

Hello, and welcome back! Today I have another card to share that highlights hearts. For yesterday's card, I had die cut a heart from watercolor paper. So, today's card features the negative piece of watercolor paper with the heart missing. It was just waiting to be turned into it's own pretty card! This would be great for a wedding or engagement card, or even a special birthday card. I started with a Whisper White Cardstock base, and covered it the the hearts pattern from the Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, and then die cut a matching heart through both layers. I watercolored the heart negative piece with Crushed Curry and Strawberry Slush inks and the Aqua Painer, and pierced around the edge.

Next I stamped the greeting from Perfectly Penned Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon ink onto a square of clear the Window Sheets. I adhered it to the watercolor piece, and then to the card front matching the heart openings. To finish it off, I wrapped the Gold Baker's Twine around three times, added some of the Gold Sequin Trim, and then tied a knot to hold it all together. I also glued a few of the gold sequins around the greeting.

Well, that is all for today. I bet you are wondering what I did with the gold hearts vellum heart that was cut out of the card front, aren't you? Well, you'll have to come back tomorrow to find out! Thanks for stopping by.

Hearts Collection 1

Hello, and welcome back! Today I have a series of cards to share that I made using the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up. I have cards for several different occasions included in this series. This card would be great for a sympathy card or a general "cheer up" message for a friend. The patterned papers are from the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper. The two squares are stitched together, and then adhere to the card front of Whisper White Cardstock.

EverythingOk1

I die cut the heart from Watercolor Paper. The sentiment is from the Really Good Greetings stamp set, stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. After, I watercolored it with my Aqua Painter and Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry inks, squeezed into the top of the inkpads. The heart is mounted to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and finished with white Neutrals Candy Dots.

Geometrical 2

Hello, and welcome back! Today I am sharing another card that I made with the Geometrical Stamp Set. There are some great sayings in this set, and I like the mix of fonts too. This card features two more patterns from the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper. The card base is Crushed Curry, a color that is growing on me!

Buttercup1

I used two different scallop circle punches to make the "buttercups" from more Crushed Curry Cardstock. I did use some retired buttons as I don't have the new version in the Crushed Curry color, and sewed them together with White Baker's Twine. I also used some wood chevron pieces from the Essentials Wooden Elements. They are a lot of fun to use!

Well, that is all for today. I'll have some more cards to share next week using more of the Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. Then, I have some Valentine cards to share. Thanks for stopping by!
