A new year has come. I figured it was high time that I make my first post in 2012. I decided to do Project Life again this year. I "did" Project Life in 2011, but only in fits and starts. I will at some point go back and print all the pictures that I edited, write (or print) out the journaling that I kept track of and stuff the little bits of ephemera into the correct pockets. But, I'm not going to worry about filling it out or catching up. I decided to start fresh in 2012 with a clean slate and the new version of the Project.
Here is my title page:
*I used the Clementine Core Kit, and the Design A pages. I added Stampin' Up Real Red ribbon, Martha Stewart red baker's twine, black velvet Thickers, aqua foam Thickers, Stampin' Up postage stamp punch, 7 Gypsies red tape, and Making Memoris metal signs.*
This year, I am going to:
- take more pictures of myself
- write what I want to write each day
- pick my favorite photo for the day (or pick another one from that week)
- not stress out if my journaling and photo don't match subjects
- keep the embellishments simple
- write the date on the back of ephemera before it goes into the book
- prep the cards a month at a time
- use One Note in Windows Live Sky Drive and the One Note app for my iPhone to keep track of daily journaling
- hand write or print the journaling out
- Use both my iPhone and Canon dSLR to take photos
Here is the Week One spread:
Here is the left side:
*I am using the Project Life Clementine Core Kit, and the Design A page protectors. I also purchased the full Clementine Digital kit at JessicaSprague.com. I used that to print out the large journaling card in the lower left pocket, and also the circle and tag embellishments in the upper left pocket. I also am using my date stamp from last year's kit.* I stapled a part of a business card from the restaurant onto the journaling card. I'm also adding a digital date stamp to each photo using Katie Pertiet's digital Make Your Own Postmarks Pack No. 5.*
Here is the right side:
*On this page, I cut some of the packaging from new sheets and my new Keurig, part of a business card from another restaurant and made a journaling card from my work anniversary card. I stapled a blank grid card to the left, and added the colored number stickers along the right in a rainbow of 9's for my 9th anniversary in the lower right pocket. I also printed out a journaling card using the digital kit in the upper left pocket. I did this because I didn't want to use the double-fold cards without using the back. I'm sure I have plenty that I could use them, but I'm just being a little thrify.
So, there you have it! I'll share the rest of my weeks of the album soon. I have one week to catch up on, and I need to get better about the picture a day approach. But, it's all good, right? I hope you've enjoyed this, and continue to visit in weeks to come. Thanks for visiting!
