Color Challenge #42 and Retro Fresh Fun!

It's been a while since I participated in Kristina Werner's Color Challenge, so I decided to make a card this evening with the new combo that she posted.

I also have been playing with the new Stampin' Up! items I bought from the Retro Fresh collection.  I think this first one is a little plain, but I couldn't think of anything to add without overwhelming it.

Mini Album - Home Decor Samples

I finally took some pictures of my house so that I could finish a mini-album that I put together a couple of weeks ago when I got together with my crafting buddies.  I got the idea for this album because it seems that I never have my paint or fabric samples for my home when I am out shopping.  I wanted this album to serve as a shopping aid and as a record of how I have decorated my current home.  The rooms are kind of messy...you can tell that I live here!  You'll see some piles here and there, and a craft room that I am forever organizing but can never quite call "organized"!  I was pleasantly surprised though that I did like the impromptu photos, and that I could see at a glance how many improvements have been made.  A home is always a work in progress, although when I first bought it I thought it would only take a few months to be "done"!  A woman I work with named Sue just chuckled at me...now I know why.  ;-)

Anyway, without further ado here is the album:

Inspired By -- A Shopping Bag

I've started taking everyday objects that inspire me, and making a card, scrapbook page or other crafted item from it.  I though it would be fun to post both the inspiration piece and the creation it inspired.  I know there are lots of creative souls doing something similar with a color challenge, inspiration challenge, etc.  If you want to join in on the fun, make something based on the design, color scheme, etc. and post it in the comments for this entry.  Enjoy!
